Marvel is preparing an “interactive story” for the Apple Vision Pro based on the series What If…?

In my opinion, this is the future of VR.

Virtual reality meets the world of cinema
It’s an innovative and promising alliance aimed at developing the future of entertainment. Marvel and Industrial Light & Magic, the company founded by George Lucas, have announced that they are working on a game to be released on Apple Vision Pro. The game is based on “What if…?”, a show available on Disney+, whose second season recently ended. Enjoy an hour-long immersive experience thanks to the technology embedded in Apple devices.

A new form of entertainment
The continuing development of mixed reality should usher in a new era of entertainment. The recent addition of Apple Vision Pro confirms this hypothesis: an “interactive story” that allows users to participate in their favourite series or films.

A gentle invasion of the MCU universe
While this story remains in place for now, what we can attest to is that “fans will be able to explore breathtaking environments that place them in iconic new locations in the MCU universe”. Imagine virtually ordering a shawarma with Tony Stark and his gang ……

Will dreams soon become reality?
It’s one thing to dream in front of a screen, but quite another to actively participate, and Apple’s Vision Pro and its major mixed reality project promise to deliver the ‘I of the series’, one step closer to the ultimate experience for fans of the series and the film. Although a release date has yet to be announced, the dedicated game will be exclusive to Apple Vision Pro. Renowned film references such as David Dong and Phil McCarty are already working on the project, which aims to change the way we consume audiovisual content.
